BELTS FOR THE TRANSPORT OF OILY AND GREASY MATERIALS
DEPREUX proposes two types of belts for the transport of oily and greasy materials :
The DELTAFAT is a plied belt composed of a carcase made of alternating textile and rubber layers which are than covered with outer rubber covers.
The inner rubber layers function as a shock absorber. The upper outer cover protects the carcase from damage caused by the material being transported while the lower outer cover protects it from abrasion by the supporting rollers.
The DYNAFAT is a "solid-woven" belt, made of a single thick textile fabric layer impregnated with PVC and an upper and lower outer rubber cover to protect the textile carcase.
DELTAFAT and DYNAFAT belts come in the following ranges :
tensile strength: 250 N/ mm to 2500 N/ mm (DELTAFAT).
tensile strength: 400 N/ mm to 3150 N/ mm (DYNAFAT).
width for a standard belt: up to 1600 N/ mm.
These belts are used for transporting materials containing oily and greasy products such as :
vegetable or animal fats found in the food industry, sugar plants, harbours or in the production of food for livestock.
mineral oils found in the steel, glass or recycling industry and any other industry which involves the use of oil lubricants.
chemical products such as fuel oil for example, which may damage the belt covers, like in the fertiliser industry or in the transport of coal in power plants.
The presence of varying concentrations of fatty products in the transported material can have an effect on the rubber covers :
it can cause the deterioration of the mechanical properties (abrasion, elasticity, life expectancy),
it can make the rubber swell which may cause it to come unstuck from the textile fabric.
To counteract this, a special type of rubber is used for the cover and a special solution is used for dipping the textile fabrics.
