DEPREUX proposes only one type of conveyor belts for the transport of hot materials, that is DELTATHERM belts. They are composed of :
a carcase made of alternating textile and rubber layers,
an upper and lower outer rubber cover. The upper cover protects the carcase from damage caused by the material being transported while the lower rubber cover protects it from abrasion by the supporting rolls.
The rubber mix used for the layers and outer covers is specially selected to withstand the maximum temperature and the type of product to be transported.
DEPREUX proposes DELTATHERM belts which are used for transporting materials with temperature above 80°C and up to 200°C. They are supplied in the following ranges :
tensile strength: 250 N/mm to 2500 N/mm.
width for a standard belt: up to 1600 mm.
We recommend the following steps to increase the life expectancy of a belt :
increasing the thickness of the carcase by having a large number of plies,
increasing the thickness of the outer covers,
· increasing the diameter of the main driving drum in as far as possible. For example, choosing a size above the one you would normally select.
For the transport of very hot materials or if there are occasional blocks with temperatures higher than 220°C, we recommend the inclusion of a glass fibre breaker fabric in the upper cover.
This will protect the carcase from heat transmission and will slow down the deterioration of the belt.
